| Welcome to the SouthWest Crop Diagnostic Day Web Site! |
| Wednesday, July 7 AND Thursday, July 8 2010 |
| The 16th Annual Diagnostic Day is an event that highlights current topics of interest. The goal of the day is to provide quality, state-of-the-art training in all aspects of crop production and management. |
| The Diagnostic Day is designed specifically to improve the problem solving skills of seed, fertilizer and chemical industry personnel and agricultural consultants. |
 |
The SouthWest Crop Diagnostic Day provides agribusiness personnel with "hands-on" learning experiences to assist in the correct identification and treatment of crop problems common to southern Ontario. The program provides a "real-world" environment where agriculturists can hone their crop trouble-shooting skills and evaluate new and alternative management strategies. To facilitate discussion with speakers, participants will be broken into small groups of approximately 20 people. Each group will rotate through the various stops. |
| Individuals will have the opportunity to customize their Diagnostic Day experience. 12 of the 14 topics offered will be completed. Technology transfer, research and teaching staff from the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, University of Guelph, Ridgetown Campus, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, and Ag Industry will conduct the sessions. |
